FreedomBank Donates $21,500 to Fund Scholarships and Endowments for Area Graduates

FreedomBank has generously awarded scholarships to graduating high school seniors at several local school districts. The scholarships, ranging from $500 to $1,000, are given to students who have demonstrated academic achievement and are interested in studying business, finance, or agriculture in college.

The scholarships are made possible through FreedomBank's annual $4,500 donation to the corresponding scholarship foundations of Central, MFL MarMac, Postville, Allamakee, and Eastern Allamakee school districts. FreedomBank also contributed $17,000 to scholarship endowments held by the Community Foundation of Greater Dubuque.

Kathy Mueller, president and CEO of FreedomBank, expressed excitement about sponsoring six scholarships for local students and contributing to NICC and four area schools' endowments. She emphasized that these scholarships empower young adults' success and provide crucial financial assistance for pursuing post-high school education. This tradition is a source of pride for FreedomBank, and they believe that this long-term investment will positively impact the future rural workforce.

FreedomBank encourages high school students heading to college to contact their guidance counselor to learn about applying for a FreedomBank Scholarship.
