Vincent Schmelzer Joins FreedomBank as Residential Lender in Monona

FreedomBank is excited to welcome Vincent Schmelzer as a residential lender. Vincent will serve area home buyers and builders from FreedomBank’s Monona, Iowa, location.

Schmelzer joins the team after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Iowa State University with a degree in Business Economics. He described why he pursued a lending career at FreedomBank, “Finance can be a complex area to navigate for many people, and I enjoy helping others achieve their financial goals.

“Coming out of college, I was exclusively looking for positions in Northeast Iowa and wanted to work somewhere local. I chose FreedomBank because it is a local, 100% employee-owned business.”

Vincent shared his first-hand experience with FreedomBank’s culture of empowering success. “Everyone has been extremely helpful and welcoming since joining the team. I could not have found a better place to start my community banking career.”

• He lives in Garnavillo and is a graduate of Clayton Ridge Schools.
• As an avid outdoorsman and Eagle Scout, he enjoys bowhunting, ice fishing, pheasant hunting, golfing, and woodworking.
• Has his State of Iowa Coaching Authorization and coached high school girls track at Clayton Ridge.
