Fraud Red Flags

FreedomBank is aware that customers are receiving mysterious postcards and letters referring to a mortgage with FreedomBank. The mailing instructs customers to call a toll-free phone number to discuss the matter. Similarly, customers have received "Final Renewal Notices" on home warranties, with a renewal voucher that looks like a check. These mailings are not from FreedomBank. If you receive a postcard or letter similar to these examples, they are a SCAM and do not call the number.

Here are tell-tale signs to help you determine if a letter, postcard, or email is a scam:

• You'll see a disclosure in the bottom-right corner that says something like "...loan information not provided by FreedomBank." All of our communication will clearly state it is from FreedomBank.
• You'll notice a Mortgage ID number displayed. FreedomBank would not show any personal information of yours on a postcard.
• The phone number displayed does not match FreedomBank's local number.
• FreedomBank is misspelled as "Freedom Bank."
• The fact that it's a postcard or bulk-mail piece instead of a sealed first-class letter is a red flag.
